SAP Basis Semi-Senior Consultant

We are looking for a SAP Basis Semi-Senior Consultant to join a long-term SAP maintenance and support project for a multinational company based in Budapest. The role focuses on ensuring system stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the SAP landscape.
The selected candidate must currently live in Budapest or nearby, as on-site presence is required three times per week. You will work closely with functional teams, infrastructure specialists, and global IT stakeholders.
🧩 Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day SAP Basis support and system administration.
Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
Manage transports, user administration, and system copies.
Perform kernel upgrades, support packages, and patching.
Troubleshoot incidents and resolve technical issues.
Coordinate with functional and development teams.
Ensure system security, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
Maintain technical documentation.
Support audits and compliance requirements.
🎯 Requirements
Must-have:
3+ years of experience in SAP Basis.
Experience in SAP system administration and maintenance.
Knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
Experience with transport management and system monitoring.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Professional level of English.
Must be based in Budapest (or willing to relocate immediately).
Availability to work on-site 3 days per week.
Nice to have:
Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
Knowledge of HANA administration.
Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
SAP Basis certification.
Experience in international support teams.
